Any chance you'll have all these patterns up by December? I would love to make a Cinderella and Snow White or Ariel for my nieces!
ReplyDeleteAmy - yes they will be up by then. I am off on holidays on Saturday until October 7th. I can do Cinderella Snow and Ariel next if you want.
DeleteOh, that would be so wonderful! I just started paper piecing last week and I'm so addicted I'm trying to think of things to make everyone on my Christmas list!
Deletewonderful!!!! love it. i named my daughter ariel from the movie. and she is 18 now she would so love this.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to thank you for these wonderful patterns. I just started paper piecing and these are perfect for my little girl (2). Are you also going to do Rapunzel and the new princess Merida (from the movie Brave)? That would complete the entire pricess collection and would make a wonderful quilt for her ;) Thank you again, cant wait to start Ariel!
ReplyDeleteI saw the paper piece that you did of your fathers mom and it was beautiful. Do you do these personal pictures for clients? I'm currently working on the Disney Princess' that you post patterns for and thought it would be a neat addition to add my daughter too. If you could email me annakossen@hotmail.com that would be great if you are willing to do this and how much you would charge. Thank you
DeleteOoo, I would definitely be interested in this as well! If you could e-mail me if you're willing to do custom paper piece patterns, I'd love to have one of my daughter to add to her quilt! kimi_173@hotmail.com
DeleteIs there any chance Tiana will be posted soon? Love your patterns by the way!
ReplyDeleteWendy
Do you have an assembly order for Tiana?
ReplyDeleteI have reloaded the pattern with instructions. Please check if you have already printed the pattern out as I had to make a couple of changes to pieces A and L as there was an error.
DeleteThese are wonderful. Thank you for all the work you put into them for us. I know two of my great neices are going to love these.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! These are so CUTE! Love them.
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to find the pattern for Belle... Am I blind or is it missing?
ReplyDeleteI don't know where she disappeared to but she is back now - Sorry.
DeleteThe pattern for Jasmine keeps leading me to Snow...any advice?
ReplyDeleteStrange things have been happening lately and I don't know why. I have reset all links. Let me know if you have further troubles.
DeleteThank you so much for these patterns!! They and you are fabulous!! If you have the time, is there any chance you might design a pattern of Megara from Hercules? I know she's technically not a princess but... Hercules doesnt mind! Again, keep up the terrific work!
ReplyDeleteWill get her done as soon as I can
DeleteMichelle, your patterns are wonderful! Thank you for sharing your talents with us. :) Will you be doing any Alice In Wonderland patterns (from the Disney animated film or otherwise)?
ReplyDeleteAlice is finally done and ready for testing
DeleteDo you think you could design Esmeralda from The Hunceback of Notre Dame?? I would be most grateful-- thanks!!
ReplyDeleteWill get her done as soon as I can
DeleteThank you so much! All we need now is one more princess and we'll have an even dozen for a wonderful quilt. Are there any more pincesses to make?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find an email address to contact you but I found four of your Disney Princesses blocks being sold on this site: http://www.losangelesneedlework.com/sewing-patterns/paper-piecing-quilt-blocks Other sewing bloggers have had their free tutes stolen as well and have issued Cease and Desist letters.
ReplyDeleteI saw a pin on pinterest today about pattern stealing - (here's the original blog post about it: http://artisania.wordpress.com/2013/02/17/pattern-theft/ and happened to go to the site in question (http://www.losangelesneedlework.com/sewing-patterns) and your disney princess p.p. patterns are listed on there for sale. Just thought you'd like to know. I HATE thieves!!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle ...thanks so much for sharing the pattern with us.
ReplyDeleteI allready finished piecing Arielle parts and now i wanted to sew them together....there is a part missing :-(((( The mouth part is not in your
PDF file. Exactly missing is the I + H part the left lowet corner. Can you help me out by sending me a new PDF ? It is so pretty for not getting finished. Hope you can help me out.
Kimmy
The gremlins have been in my computer. I checked my pattern and that page was there, so I have reloaded the whole thing. Let me know if there is still a problem.
DeleteGood morning from Germany ....Thank you Thank you Michelle. Now it is complete an i can finish it today. Oh you made my day :-). Again many thanks for designing these wonderful PP patterns for us. You make our little girls smile ...my little girl is allready 26 years old and red long hair ;-) but she always loved Arielle. Again thanks for sharing the pp patterns with us and lots of time and ideas for your future projekts. Sincerly Kimmy
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle here ist my email - mailto:Wiegel@t-online.de - if you like i can send you a picture of the big Ariel cushion i made for my daughter. greetings Kimmy
ReplyDeletei don't see sleeping beauty. i downloaded her off of the fandom in stitches site, but after looking at her, she doesn't have any embroidery illustrations, so i cam to your page to see if maybe it was just a fluke.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why she keeps disappearing - she is back now.
Deleteit isn't that she is disappearing, its that the pattern doesn't have any embroidery lines for her chin and nose.
DeleteOk fixed I have added another page at the end of the pattern
DeleteHow about Minnie? Could she slip into the Disney Princess group? OH!... More work for you... how about Mickey, Donald, Goofy, etc...for a boy quilt? Pretty Please. Yeah, we keep adding more and more requests. Like you can just put them on your short little to do list, Must be miles long already, Ha. I will probably be just like so many others on here saying their little girl is an adult now and finally getting around to making her princess quilt. LOL. Thanks again and where can we link up pics of the ones we have actually completed? C
ReplyDeleteLove your patterns. Wanted to show you what I've got accomplished so far. Planning to make a set of 12 for a quilt for my grand baby.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/49185679@N04/9081553698/in/photostream/
Have been trying to make an adjustment to the Rapunzel so that it captures the curl in the front of her hair so it isn't so flat but don't have your experience drafting patterns. Also noticed that Jasmine doesn't print out with any color or piecing numbers. Is that because it is a test pattern? One more question-Do you have a link where I can see more of the finished pieces your fans have made? It would give me more ideas for fabric choices. Thanks for the work you put into them. Cindy bluemoonstencils@yahoo.com
I think the best solution is to embroider some detail lines, I have put a new picture on the pattern page for you to look at.
DeletePlease do more of the fairies - I especially love Rosetta and Silvermist! Thanks for the wonderful Tinkerbell pattern!
ReplyDeleteAre you considering doing the new princesses from Frozen?
ReplyDeleteTest Patterns are up and ready to go
DeleteI am working on Aurora and I'm confused on piece D am I paper piecing on and sewing the two parts together or taping then before adding the fabric???? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI am a bit confused by your question - you sew all of the pieces in section D then you sew all the pieces in section B and then you sew section B and D together and this becomes piece 1. Let me know if I haven't answered your question.
DeleteOn the pattern D is in 2 parts with white space after D6 & D7 on the first part that made me confused on how to then attach D8 & D9 on the second part. So I was wondering if I attach the fabric to the two parts and then sew them together to get rid of the white piece or do I tape the two parts together first along the sewing line between D6, D7 & D8 and then sew on the fabric. Hope that makes sense and thank you.
Deletesorry for the confusion - join the paper together and eliminate the white sections before you sew the fabric on. I keep it white so you can see where to overlap the pieces. I usually glue as tape can stick to the iron.
DeleteI'm sorry... I'm still stuck. It looks as if I need to flip the paper upside down for D8 and D9 for it to match right to D6 and D7. The picture shows that it is in a straight line but when I try to match it it goes crooked if both sides of the paper are right sides up???? Thanks.
DeleteOk worked out the problem - the white piece next to D6/D7 should be dark yellow - then the white sections line up no problems
DeleteSo I'm new to paper piecing and I want to use these patterns to make a quilt for a friend's daughter. I don't know how much of each colour of material to buy for each pattern. I know I can measure each piece and figure it out that way but that will take a very, very long time. Do you have any recommendations?
ReplyDeleteI have a huge stash of tone on tone fabrics for my paper piecing, In the beginning you tend to be a bit wasteful with the fabric especially pieces on the diagonal. However as a guide you won't ever need more than a fat quarter for the hair, skin or background. Other pieces - lips, eyes etc you need only scraps. Having said that every eye has white and black so a fat quarter of each will last for many eyes.
DeleteThank you so much!
DeleteHi Michelle!
ReplyDeleteI'm new to the designing process and was wondering what program do you use? I would love to know how you get all the colors on your individual pieces. I love all your patterns and have used many of them as inspiration and quilts! As a matter of fact, when I planned out my 7 dwarves patterns, I used your Snow White and Prince in my final quilt--I'm getting the pictures to "Fandom" soon. If you would, can you email me your answer at: schwarzthomas@hotmail.com
I really appreciate any advise you can give me! Yours, Lynne Schwarz
Your patterns are wonderful and a delight to make. Thank you for all your work, so we can have beautiful pieces to make.
ReplyDeleteThank you - I am somewhat addicted
DeleteLoving all the new patterns, but as I am working on the princes right now I was just wondering if you would be making Prince Adam, just curious.
ReplyDeleteyes - I am, he is nearly ready
Deleteoh perfect, thank you
DeleteYour patterns are amazing! I have already made 12 Sesame Street characters and willl be starting the Seven Dwarfs this weekend.
ReplyDeleteAny plans to make Toy Story patterns? :)
I can if you want
DeleteI would love that!
DeleteI would LOVE to have some Toy Story patterns!
DeleteI made Sleepy and Sneezy today--had no problems with them. They came out adorable!
I just printed the pieces for some of the others and parts G and I on page 2 of Bashful are getting cut off in the margins. :(
Susie what paper size are you using?, email me at misha292068@gmail.com and I will adjust the pattern for u.
DeleteHi Michelle, First of all THANK YOU, your patterns are wonderful! I was wondering if you had any plans to do more Sleeping Beauty? If you make them, I will test them! :) I just needed to have more than two so that I could make my granddaughter a quilt, rather than just a few throw pillows. Let me know if you make more, and thank you for all the hard work you do, it's amazing!!! knoxsinnm@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteAre you going to do a pattern for the witch for Snow White series?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI have done the witch and the Queen just have to write instructions and colour them.
DeleteI was just wondering when some of the new patterns you posted will be available or even just available for testing, I love the sleeping beauty ones as well as after I finish the princess and princes quilt I am making I am hoping to do a disney villian one once I have enough patterns and I noticed you had Malificient.
ReplyDeletejust email any you want to test and I can send them to you, otherwise I will get them out as soon as I can.
DeleteMichelle misha292068@gmail.com
I have a few other projects first but will do if they aren't out by the time I get everything ready to go, Thank you
DeleteThank you so much for your patterns.
ReplyDeleteI am going to work on Hans this weekend. I was wondering If you could send me marshmallow to work on next??? I also wouldn't mind testing some of the other characters like Oaken or maybe the Duke? Or, the trolls or maybe the castle??? Can you tell I am crazy for Frozen. Oh, how about the word frozen???
Linda B materialgirl58@yahoo.com
I just wanted to tell you how much I love your patterns. I'm planning a Lion King quilt for my cousin for Christmas. Thanks for designing!

Jocelyne
you can email to me misha292068@gmail.com or post on fandom in stitches pattern testers facebook page or on our flickr group for fandom in stitches
DeleteLove the Frozen quilt patterns. But have you thought of doing a young Kristoff and young Sven?
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteSince Halloween is just around the corner - would it be possible to get the evil queen in disguise. Love your patterns they are great. I gave my frozen quilt to the little girl and she just love it. I have sent you a picture. Thank you for everything.
Ok Evil Queen is up and ready to go
DeleteYour patterns are absolutely amazing. My best friend just found out that she's pregnant. When she told me she was doing a Pocahontas themed nursery, I remembered your patterns and came right here. Now she is anxiously awaiting her Pocahontas quilt. Is there any chance you can do Grandmother Willow? I'm willing to bribe.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Colleen
Happy to help let me know if you want any others. Just to make it more exciting I am a direct descendent of Pocahontas.
DeleteThank you so much. One of the reasons my friend (also named Michelle) picked Pocahontas as a theme is that she's part Native American. I'm planning to keep it simple--just Pocahontas, Flit, and Meeko. I would have hated to leave Grandmother Willow out since she's my friend's favorite.
DeleteMy email is cmdo864528@yahoo.com if you need help testing.
Thanks again.
I just wanted to thank you again for the pattern. I just finished piecing it, and it turned out great. I don't suppose you have a full size image with the embroidery lines? That is far beyond my freehand abilities, and I'm not sure how much to scale up the picture.
Deletesure would love to send to you but i don't know your email address or what pattern you made. Just email me at misha292068@gmail.com
DeleteHi Michele,

Hi - look they are done and tested - I just have to finish some tidying up on the patterns. Email me if you are desperate and you can have the patterns as they are but if not they should be up next week some time. misha292068@gmail.com
DeleteHi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteWOW all those beautiful patterns for sleeping beauty. they are amazing. Looking forward to doing them all. I've made all the animals except for the owl and I've also made Fauna. This will be my personal quilt. Cause I love the movie and I love your patterns. Thank you Michelle.

ReplyDeleteWendy - not quite but if you are happy to work from a not finished (and by that I mean not prettied up) pattern email me and I will send to you - misha292069@gmail.com
DeleteI have just made the Hercules Pattern, it was a bit smaller than 10inches when finished so I need to check my printer settings, I just added a little more to each outside edge. Pattern pretty straight forward to follow - love the finished block! Thanks for sharing your design :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle, for the bambi pattern, he is so cute, will there be more coming out from film. I love your patterns thank you so much. Jocelyne
ReplyDeleteAny plans to make Mickey & Minnie?
ReplyDeleteI love the new full body Ariel!
I was wondering if Pocahontas full body was complete? the link is not working for me?
ReplyDeleteI have uploaded it now.
DeleteCould you possible design more Peter Pan themed blocks. Fandom in Stitches only has a few (all 10"). There isn't a Wendy, Tiger Lily, lost boys, Michael & John or Katie nana. My DIL wants a Peter Pan themed nursery (baby due Feb 2018). I'd love to be a pattern tester for any Peter Pan blocks.
